two deck questions

First, I have a 48" deck that came with my 147. The 147 has a bad PTO clutch, so the 48" deck has been on the 72, which never had a 48" deck available, 7hp is too little and all...

Anyway, I don't know if its the way I have them mismatched, or something with the deck, but my idler is rubbing the deck belt, it has badly eroded it. The idler also bounces around a lot when the pto is engaged. When I get a new belt, what is the fix? More tension on the mule drive adjuster? Tighter belt?
Here is a pic of the problem area.

Second question, will this deck, I think a 44A, work on my 147 and 72? Both have the hangers in the front, and the spring loaded pins in back of the under frame.

Is $150 a fair price?
