There I was driving around & I spot this yellow thing sitting in a front yard.
![]() U-turn it & go knock on the door. A young man was selling hid dad's # 127 with a plow. FANTASTIC running machine with a re-built carb, newer head gasket & just purred when started. So I act dumb. ![]() The guy's Father used it to plow his drive way, move a boat 10/15 X's a year behind his garage & thats it. Owned for over 20 years by his dad. Take it for a spin & am in love= ![]() Sooooooooooooo, being a sick puppy as I am, what do I do? ![]() Now I gotta #109, #122 & a # 127. GONNA POWER WASH IT , polish it up & leave it alone, except for the seat. Got tire chains, weights, & undercarriage that he never used, 1 year old battery, & a small box of goodies. I'm now happier than a pig in a mud-hole. I'll keep the $$ purchase quiet, you'd POOP! He delivers it to my house ($25.00) 6 miles away. Never thought of phoning my wife to tell her. She' admits also that this was a GREAT BUY & verifies my mental condition as being questionable. ![]() Nik, ![]() ![]() |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
