So when my wife and I moved into our new house last fall, the property came with this really nice shed (FULL of junk) with a lot of space, but no way to get anything in or out other than carrying by hand.
![]() I decided to (over)build a nice solid ramp so I could use it to put my cubs indoors. the shed itself has 2x12s every foot underneath and a thick plywood floor, so it's very sturdy and gave me the idea for my ramp structure. the doorway is 60 inches wide exactly, so I bought 6 2x8x8's and cut them to be an 11.5 degree slope. I then mounted them to the shed with metal brackets and a vertical 2x4 brace, as well as using the big triangle sections I trimmed from the 2x8's. Next was laying 2x6 planking. ![]() ![]() they're not perfectly aligned, but close enough! I don't own a square yet. ![]() all finished! I was short one 2x6, but had a scrap 2x8 from another project that was long enough. on the right is a small extension of the shed I converted to a chicken coop. ![]() ![]() structural test! I built it intending for it to hold at least a ton, and i think it will! I jumped up and down on it with the tractor parked on it, and it didn't even budge! ![]() plenty of room for the 72 and 125 to co-habitate. ![]() and room for more! it might take some jockeying, but I think I can make room for a future cub lo-boy to fit too... ![]() I'm sure happy with the results, it's nice to finally have them indoors!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
