When I picked up the 1210, it blew smoke on start up, and picking up revs from an idle. Then didn't seem bad. I had hoped it was plugged vent, or maybe carbon build up on rings that would clear.

The vent was plugged, big time, with RTV. And assembled wrong with pieces missing. Thought I was in luck.

Now it burns oil much worse, and blows from the vent as well. goes through as much oil as gas.

So IMO, I'm looking at teardown, new piston and rings, probably bore OS.

What bugs me is this thing fires up fast, runs smooth, and seems to have tons of power. Sure doesn't seem like a compression loss.

Have I missed something??
