Last Tuesday and Wednesday here in VA, we got some decent snow. I got 20" of snow (measured in my yard). The evening prior, I had my front blade hooked up on the old 126. My plan was to go out every 5-6 hours and push the snow but I was lazy and too busy playing with my little girl and pretty much waited until the snow was over. I had the ole 126 up in the front yard (fairly steep back yard.....Duke (Methos) can vouch for me) covered in a tarp. I went out and uncovered the ole girl and fired her up and the whole time thinking there ain't no way I am going to push this much snow. I got to say boys, I had absolutely no trouble at all other than the few times I knew I was "pushing" my chances a bit and got her hung up for a few seconds. I pushed snow up and down my street I live on for 3 days! My 126 is all original and I don't know if the engine has lost a little pep or if I don't have the governor set correct because she does loose a few RPM's pulling my 325lb butt up my steep back yard but she had no trouble pushing 2 feet of snow at all. The only thing I wish I had was the "float" button in my implement bar as mine is missing. I had so much fun and my little girl had a blast riding along with ole dad pushing the snow. I hope we get some more snow but if not I can't wait till next winter! But I did finally get all my parts together for my rear lift and will be finally able to plow my garden next week (assuming snow is gone) so that gives me more to look forward to! Sorry for the long post but I had so much fun I couldn't hold it in and I'm sure my fellow cub buddies have had fun like I did and it's just a good ole feeling knowing your on a 40+ year old garden tractor doing stuff that it shouldn't in today's box store lawn tractor standards. Listening to that ole Kohler back firing when throttling down throwing fire out the exhaust and the smell of the fuel is hard to beat! I gotta roll on out now I got a powerful thirst I have to take care of
Have a good one boys........

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
