1450 Coil
I was mowing the lawn a week and a half ago and 90% done when the 1450 lost power then shut off. I cranked for a few minutes and checked some things, had no spark. The po told me he would replace a coil a yr, and since I haven't put one since I've owned it, I assumed it had gone bad. I borrowed the coil off the O, hooked it up and it started right up. So I did some searching on this site and saw posts about relocating a new bosch coil under the dash. I found good things on here about David Kirk, so I contacted him and ordered a coil and rubber hood edge piece. He couldn't have been nicer and I would recommend him to anyone that needs parts. Last night I finally had time to put it all together. While it was apart I pulled the muffler off to repair cracks around the input pipe, I bent the front screen to keep it from rattling and i put the hood edge strip on. After I got finished, it fired right up and I couldn't believe how quiet it was. No more rattling!!
