1046 bagger and tire issues
Hello, I'm new to the site. I bought a 1046 last year after my 7yr old John Deere LT150 blew up (Briggs) and I could not find a motor for it. A couple of things I would like to resolve with the 1046:
- The bagger does not seem to be vented enough which causes grass clippings and leaves to shoot out from under the deck rather than blow into the bags. This setup makes it almost impossible to pick up leaves. - The turning radius is as claimed (almost zero). However, the front tires dig into the turf when turning tight, even when going as slow as possible. It is impossible to crank the wheel all the way and not damage the lawn. I believe this to be a camber issue (not enough) which causes the tires to push rather than roll when turned. Anyone have the same experiences? Anyone with any modification ideas to resolve these issues? Appreciate any help. Thanks
