Flatbedford, I remember seeing part of a funny looking hollow ball hitch with a square hole in the top laying around the farm here. I bet it would work if I were to find a long carriage bolt for it. I've looked for the female type ball hitches with the threaded hole instead of a shaft, but there are none around here.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm going to try to use the hole in the sleeve hitch u-bracket for a ball. Looks like a few of you are getting by just fine with that.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
