680-16hp briggs elect?

Can someone shed some light on the wiring for this combo? On the side of the block next to the starter is the voltage reg (I think) with a single red wire and a small stud that looks like a ground. My wire harness has a large red wire (starter) and a plug that has a gray wire and what looks like two pink wires in a single spade, the question is what to do with these wires? I think the two pinks would go to the red wire and the gray to the stud but I don't know and i don't wont to fry anything, so if this is good or there is more to this please let me know.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
