Resurrecting sleeping 1450 and 1250 questions
Finally got a chance to work on a couple quietlines I pulled from my outside collection in Stephentown..
Remind me how the fuel shutoff on the plastic tanks works.. It appears to be a push pull but I can only get it to spin.....black plastic knob, about 1/2 inch of metal shaft behind it, held in the tank by a rubber grommet.. At the moment I believe it is the cause of a no fuel condition.. I did get a dribble of fuel to go thru it but don't know why it even did that..... Also.. any tricks to freeing up the stock choke cable?? I can't get mine to move in and out at all.. hosed it down with PB blaster but so far no good.. I actually got the 1450 puller to move on its own today.. sure was nice to see the old beast motivate under its own noisy power after all this time.. but fuel is not getting to the carb well yet..so I expect it to run better soon...it runs pretty good on carb cleaner.. Quietlines and narrow frames, mostly projects but I mow with a 1200 and have a 122 set up for pulls. Wandering the country bringing towers to wind farms everywhere, and bringing yellow stuff home to Texas. Also into flatfender jeeps.
