149 Super Fast????

I recently got my basket case 149 up and running. Before I changed fluid I wanted to see it start. Purchased fluid today and before I changed hydro fluid out I took it for a test spin...So, my question is, are they all rediculously fast compared to a regular lawn mower? I literally could not run it in full throttle...or didnt really want to..lol

I also broke drive shaft pin, luckily I purchased one before hand after reading prior posts here. New pin doesnt seem extremely tight? I was thinkin I'd have to beat it in with some force, but, it was more like tapping it in...

Any thoughts on either matter would be great. Thx guys!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
