True, however the loss Amazon is taking is not due to under-pricing, it is due to the fact they are constantly pouring money into other initiatives which take time to become profitable. Some never do. It is their business model.

On a side note, the coil was $27 on Amazon when I bought one last year, I remember stumbling upon the same site with the "cheaper clone" at $56 and wondering what he had been smoking. I debated buying 2, but decided not to. The price kept fluctuating between 48 and 27, figured it would keep going. The camel says last time price was $27 on that coil was October 2014:

Guess they figured out they will sell plenty even at $46. If they could afford to sell them at $27, I'm sure they're making good money on those at $46.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
