Messin around with a couple of the cubs today preparing for the ... inevitable.. and got the new to me snow thrower hung on the 1650. Gots some sort of heat shield around the discharge chute. Lift bracket looks to have been "modified" by a PO. Thought that should have been 90 degrees to the lower lift arm. Thought I'd cut it off and re weld it back in position so the supplied connecting rod would work, but,.. found another rod in my stack of stuff that would work as is. Heat shield would not allow the chute to rotate so I had to modify accordingly... Top of heat shield interferes with opening the hood??? Maybe I should just cut the thing off??? (the heat shield that is)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
