New (old) Cub Owner - CCC 680 Hydro
Hello, my name is Buster. I live in Geauga County Ohio. I become a home owner this summer and at the top of my list was to get a lawn/garden tractor. I wanted something older that could be worked on and was made when things seemed to be built better. I grew up in rural Maine. We had an old Bolens that cut grass and rototilled for 25 years without much fuss. However, I wanted something different than the ST125. I spent weeks crawling Craigslist and found what I feel was a gem of a Cub: a 1984 680 Hydro. It seems to be a less popular model, but it has the tried and true Kohler 301 with the same frame components as the x82 series (I believe). I like it a lot. I had to adjust the electric PTO as it wouldn't engage when hot (air gap was too much). I am in the middle of getting the Snow Thrower setup as I live in the snowbelt and it would have been nice to have two weekends ago when we got 6" of snow at my house.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
