3 point log splitter
So I just got a mahindra e22max. I got the optional set of rear remotes. Mainly so I can tilt the box blade side to side. My buddy gave me a manual log splitter which I'm going to convert to a 3 point configuration. Another use for those handy rear remotes. My question is this, I've looked at many 3 point splitters you can buy that run off the rear remotes and they have their own valve that operates the cylinder. I was thinking I would have to use the valve that's on the tractor to control the cylinder action. I don't understand how you can use a valve on the splitter if the valve on the tractor for those rear remotes is fixed in one position. Won't it not allow the fluid movement unless it's being used? Or can you put the valve on the tractor in a "float" position, I'm sure that's the wrong term, so the valve on the splitter can control the cylinder? Please shed some light on this for me.
