What did I do to my Hydro

Well I thought my hydro troubles were behind me I had the rear wheels elevated and adjusted the linkage with the hammer and punch got the wheels to stop at the neutral point and tightened the 2 bolts down and too it for a test drive and after driving it down the street I noticed the neutral position had shifted and never have gotten it back and now it goes very fast in reverse even after several tries adjusting the linkage. Can anyone tell me what happened? Thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
