Hood problem !!

My hood on my 782D is not coming back far enough on the dash... It will fall down and touch the positive post on the battery !!! Now.. I've got a lot of parts ordered for this thing.. mostly deck parts and a throttle cable so until I get my parts I've not tore into anything... I just got it running good.. I looked last nigh... with a flash light.... and saw that the end of the hood hinge is threaded, But... Looks like the hood is back on the hinge as far as it will go. very few threads left... Will the radiator support slide... I'm sure when I get into it I'll figure something out. But you never beat a man at his own game !!!! I'll bet one of you have seen this and might save me some time when I do get to that !!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
