190-325-100 Mower Deck spring length

On my deck, #190-325-100, for the 2084 the blade belt tensioning spring has almost completely broken apart as in more single coils left over than full spring.

The part is NLA. It appears to be just a compression spring so matching one up should not be a problem.
My question is does anybody know the length of the spring?
The best I can tell, from all the pieces I have, is it's about 8" long.
Does that sound right?
I'm waiting for a new belt to arrive as the old one broke and would like to have the spring in hand.
