Ted, if the Iron Guard is going to be a trip to get, why not check out an auto parts store that carries PPG brand paints and go with their Omni brand paint? I checked with a paint store in Corpus Christi, Texas that sells automotive and industrial paints, primarily, PPG. Following is what they told me:

The PPG product that is an acrylic modified alkyd enamel paint and is similar to Case/IH Irongard is: "PPG ALK 200", which sells for $58.51 per gallon. This paint is available in the PPG 81518 Federal Yellow and 90592 White. I was told by this paint store that they carry "Shopline" PPG paint and not the "OMNI" line which is usually carried by auto parts stores. The "Shopline" paint was three times more costly than the "PPG ALK 200".

Another paint store that sells primarily industrial paint to the refinery, oil, and gas industry said based on their documentation Case/IH Irongard is a acrylic modified alkyd enamel. This type enamel is still used in industrial applications. I was told that Case/IH Irongard is made by Krylon which is now owned by Sherwin Williams.

I am only sharing information I have been told by people that sure seemed to know what they were talking about. However, since I know very little about the types of enamel paints I can be easily impressed by someones paint knowledge.

I would sure appreciate comments on using the PPG ALK 200 paint and the paint information I have shared with you.
