Yes, they hold their value very well. Nothing wrong with used. When it comes to cars and equipment, I never buy new. All your doing is wasting money. You can find a nice used Bota with low hours that Joe Homeowner didn't use much and traded in, or is just selling outright. Only issue is that Joe Homeowner also thinks that since he didn't put any hours on his Kubota that he can sell it for $500 less than he paid for it 5 years ago. Now, they hold their value, but not that good....

I can't imagine at your age and the condition of your yard that you would use a tractor "hard". You might use it often, but not hard. Your not trekking the woods hauling logs. Your not scooping cow sh!t out of the barn, then using a manure spreader across a field.... I mean, your just using it for yard work. You can't be that "hard" on a tractor. Unless you bought some property and plan to use it as a dozer to clear a spot for a house.... In which case we need to talk because then you need a backhoe, not a SCUT, LOL.


I think you'd like the Kubota. Just shell out the cash and get one.
