Didn’t Deere have the series 1 in the 317?

I think a good number of series 1s were replaced with series 2s over the years. Which reminds me that the IH 782 I picked up a month or two back came with the original owners manual and it had the delivery receipt in it. The serial number matched the engine serial number so I’m guessing it’s the original motor, unless it was changed and just the tin was kept.

Did any IH 782s come from the factory with series II? The serial # break in the manuals makes it seem like it happened after 700,000.
