New to me 1782

Hi Guys

My FIL just recently gave me his old 1782. It’s a little rough but runs pretty good. The fuel solenoid shutoff is now manual, the exhaust manifold is missing 2 bolts with no gasket, the seat is beat and it starts hard in the cold (glow plugs?). I’ve ordered a new seat, solenoid, manifold and gaskets/hardware, dash label, grille and a block heater. There is also a little leak somewhere in the rear end. Should be pretty nice all fixed up.

Has anyone installed a block heater on one of these? Just looking for tips. I’ll get some pics of the rear end when I get it cleaned up.

Here it is covered in road crud. Will wash tomorrow.
