What got you interested in Cub Cadets?

I thought it would be interesting to see what got you all interested in Cub Cadets. Please share your stories.

My dad used to have a 127. He blew the motor in it right before I was born, and he needed a tractor so he went to Lowes and got the cheapest MTD Yard Machines they had he still wanted to keep the 127 for plowing, so he bought another one for parts and put the motor from that into his. He could never get it to run right, so he stopped using it. Now that we think of it, it probably only needed points and a condenser, but he didn't know that then. He sold it to a friend who painted it red, then parted it out when he also couldn't get it to run, and that tractor was in nice original condition. Eventhough I never really saw him use it, I always loved the looks of them, and always wanted one.
My grandpa had a 1320 which he gave to us after he had transmission problems with it. We fixed it up, and we still are using it. But it is starting to get old, so 2 years ago, I got a new John Deere D130 from Lowes. That was a mistake. I liked it at first, but after the first year, I got tired of it. Worse $2000 we every spent. I bought my 147 (best $325 I ever spent) and now I will never buy anything but a cub. I liked that so much, I also bought a 149.
