LT1050 died & now won’t run, except on starter fluid

GF has a LT 1050 died while mowing, acted like ran out of gas but had half tank. Has new fuel pump & since i messed up solenoid, had to put new carburetor on which came with new solenoid. Fuel pump is pumping gas, solenoid is retracting when key turned on, & bowl on carb has fuel and still will not run, but will if using starter fluid. I sure hope someone can help me with this mind boggling issue. We have only one place locally that works on lawn equipment & taking it there is out of the question. They have had my John Deere 3mos so that’s that. Thank you

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
