Believe the Dodge trans may have a blown ring on the stator shaft. Took the valve body out and checked all the electronics. They checked out fine. Only 2 valves in the valve body, along with 5 accumulator pistons. Everything was good. Electronic options have been thoroughly checked, has to be an internal leak.
Yup.. All I had growing up was chevy cars and trucks. Not that the cluster were bad per say. Just never liked them and almost always had some spare gauges hanging around to replace with.

You never said but I am assuming the 68RFE is in a 2007 and up 2500 or 3500 with a cummins. Does he have any mods? Most of what I have seen "from friends trucks" Not a bad tranny until you start approaching the 450 HP range. After that depending on how it is driven they start having failures like the one your talking about. This would not be the first time I have heard likely ring or stator being the issue.

On a side Note.. I will not buy another diesel pickup until ford or chevy decide to put a Cummins/Allison combo in one LOL
