127 no reverse

Well the time has almost come to address and issue. I have been tied up house projects, drive shaft on my X3 bmw, and work so now I need to crack down on my 127. It’s been a great running tractor but little by little the reverse worked less and less and now there is no reverse at all. I thought maybe a valve on top of the rear end but I’m thinking it’s a linkage issue now. On the “driver side” the side with the forward and reverse lever, I can look between the fender and the tire through a whole and a lever moves in there when shifting. I’ll take a photo of it but it doesn’t not look like it is engaging fully in reverse. Also the tractor sputter forward and wines when the tractor gets turned off. Any suggestions are great, any photos or diragrams would be best.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
