Cub Cadet 122 - Doesn't Move Except with Slight Pressure on Pedal
I have a '67 Cub Cadet 122 with manual transmission, no creeper gear. I was hauling a heavy load up a hill last year and thought I burned up the clutch -- it quit pulling and acted like it got put into neutral. Could shift between gears with engine running with no movement. I parked the tractor until this past week when I replaced the clutch with a new one. Well guess what... still doesn't move.
*except* If you put ever so slight pressure on the pedal it will try to move and sometimes drive on flat ground!! I adjusted the clutch and brake linkages as the manual stated with no improvement. I noticed the driveshaft has some forward/back play in it (about 1/2 inch max). Is this normal? I'm at a loss on what to check next, any help would be greatly appreciated!
