2011 Cub 1040 LTX about to go in the River!

Hello,

Hoping somebody can help me out..., before I throw this thing in the river!

So, here are the issues:

1. When in gear (Forward) and going down slight hill, comes out of gear and free-rolls.

2. Odd noise, not metal on metal, in forward gear & very slow.

3. In reverse, definite metal-on-metal sound

To try to resolve, prior to tearing out the transmission.....I have

1. replaced upper & lower belts
2. checked pulleys for wobble/lose
3. replaced several springs having to do with engagement of drive belts. I cannot seem to find a good diagram on exactly where to connect belt #27 per cub parts diagram. One end goes to pulley bracket, but I don't see where to connect other end?

There is "A lot" of apparent reasons other than transmission...but thinking it is the transmission. Any other things to consider????
