45 inch snowblower parts help

I tore up the brass drive gear for my snow blower this winter. I am using the CUb Cadet part number listed on the cub cadet site for my snow blower. The part number is 717-1425 or 917-1425. When you look up this number it comes up as a gear for a 33" snowblower. I have ordered two of these so far based on the Cub Cadet part number and the problem that I keep having is that I have a 1/4 keyway in my gear and the two that have come in so far have a 5/16 key-way. Either Cub Cadet has the wrong part number or maybe they changed the key-way over the years. I believe mine is the 451 blower not the 551 based on there being a gasket in the gear box. My sticker listing what actual model it is, is missing the numbers off the sticker. Regardless, the gear is listed as the same gear for both of them.
