Remove the 4 torx screws from the seat rails. You will need to slide it all the forward to remove the 2 in the back and then slide it all the way back and remove the 2 in the front.
Remove the forward, reverse, brake pedals on the right and also the differential lock pedal on the left. Remove the left & right rubber floor board inserts. Under there you will find 2-3 bolts that hold the front section to the frame. Remove the gas cap and intake screen under the steering wheel and the fender/floorboard should come off as one piece. I would also replace the spring inside of the valve assembly also. It is part# 732-3059 from Cub Cadet. It is not listed in the parts section from Cub but that is a cyclops part number and the springs are the same.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
