Finally moved a little snow with the 1872 this year. We had about 2" of sleet snow mix in the drive from several days ago we've been driving on. We got about 3" more of the same last night. So I went out to clean the drive this evening after work. The neighbor had already gotten most of the paved road. The stuff was sopping wet and freezing fast as the sun dropped. Pretty crusty, crunchy stuff. Some of the pics are kinda dark because it was getting dark. No real action shots because no one was available but me to take pics. the new reflectors and the lights show up well in the pics.

1st impression=The cab is warm. I was over dressed inside the cab. Did have to get a rag towel from the garage because of condensation from breathing on the window.

Second impression+ these new Carlisle Tru Power AGs and V61 front tires flat out work filled with WWF. Traction was just about the same or better than I've ever had with chains. Even backing up the hill after ramming a big pile of compacted ice/snow/gravel. I don't think I'll need the chains except on glare ice. I took some foot print pics as many have asked about the tires.

Front 18x8.50x8 V61 and print on crusted ice/snow. 3 gallons of fluid in each. 12 PSI


Rear 26x12x12 Tru Powers on same. 8 gallons of fluid each and 50lb each wheel weights. 12 PSI.


As you can see they made an impression and I never spun a tire unless The blade could no longer push a huge pile of ice/snow where I was stacking it. or was backing up hill away from the same.

I went down to the main road and cleaned up around the mail boxes. The tires worked even better on the pavement.

I'm also glad I installed the rock shaft support strap. I rammed a couple of piles that stopped the tractor. Hope you enjoy the pics!
