Talking new here

Hello everyone. Very glad to have found this site. I have owned a Cub Cadet 108 now for a couple years. I was thinking this winter with the little higher than normal snow fall about trading my 108 and Troybilt mower in on a new "yard tractor" of some kind that I could get a snow blower/thrower attachment. Then I thought about the price of it all. Well now that I have found out that there at many kinds of attachments for my cub I believe I will be keeping her. She is rough looking and beat up, but what can I say, she was given to me with a dozer/snow blade.
I would like to get a snow thrower, 46a i think, for her and make her really work. I do not wish to "polish" or "rebuild" her because I like my things looking rugged and worn. I dont need no stinking beauty. And besides, these older models are WAY more powerfull and better running than anything new. I will get more pictures up when I can.
Now the fun stuff. Where the heck can I find a snow thrower for her? I have been looking all over the net and have not found much. Maybe someone on here is in SE Iowa area and knows some things. I would also like to get a sleeve hitch also and front and rear spring assist. I guess I just keep my eyes open every where I go.
Has anyone ever ran a snow thrower along with a rear mounted blade. Would like to have one that can be used as push or pull.
I plan on maybe adding new tires as mine are very weather checked and the chains that are on her are getting very worn also. Would love to get some wheel weights too. Im a 310lb big boy but need more weight as it will spin out in my alley and back yard when pushing snow.
Can anyone tell me all the different attachments. front and rear, that were made for Cubs? Any other "brands" interchange?
I think I shall leave you alone now.
Thank you if you read this far.
Take care and enjoy your "toys" as I do.
John

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
