methos your a pimp buddy
i figured it out tho. im such a dummy sometimes i tell ya. points ignition same as my 72 chevy van had before i swapped to HEI. coil to spark plug mainly... its a 12hp. so thats 126 correct? anyway ill post up pics tommorow. Should i post them here? or start another thread in another sub category instead of the newb section.... Gonna have to get a new spark plug wire. Besides that the thing runs like a EFFING CHAMP! jumped it from the van and it started right over... orginal fuel line leaks... go figure right? mows real good. gonna have to get a new belt. heres what i've noticed that i need to get for it. the hood is jerry rigged. so either need a new one or get someone to weld it up and put the holes where there suppose to go. fuel line coil wire need the 2 screws to hold the grille on which i bet i can match at ace hardware. new belt and i need the deck guards for a 42" deck. just showing pulleys. IIRC they have covers for them. guess ill have to start looking around. oh and the brakes dont work worth a crap.? the clutch / brake is same pedal correct? lol. they barely stop the thing. lol so ill have to search for servicing brakes on here i guess. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
