Thanks to Oak (Todd) I've got another 123!

I have to give all the credit to Oak on this one, he shot me an email Saturday night letting me know there was a 123 about 30 minutes from me. You guys probably saw the CL ad he posted, but in case you didn't, the guy was selling a Feb 1967 (serial 187448) Cub Cadet 123. Since I was watching a movie with my girls and couldn't call, I shot the guy a text and luckily he still had it. So Today I went and picked it up, and I was lucky I called when i did, he said there were 3 guys hoping I wouldn't show up. It's not running, but is complete. From the pictures you'll see that the seat has been replaced with what looks like a fishing boat seat. The steering wheel and the heat shield came off of a slightly newer model, maybe a 1x4 or 1x5, and the exhaust appears to be a replacement. I think the engine is original to the tractor because where the horrible paint job, done with a brush, is peeling off, I can see yellow, so I assume it is original. He said he had it firing but couldn't keep it running and the Stater/Generator is "not working", so that should be fun trying to learn about. But here is the best part, for just $175, I got a complete 123, with a hydraulic pump and a 3 pt lift! I couldn't believe it when I read the ad. I'm pretty sure I'm going to take the 3 pt and the pump off and put that on my 123 that I'm slowly rebuilding. My 3 year old has been begging me to buy her a tractor, so I told her this one was her. And for you purist, don't read the next line. She asked me if we could paint it pink, and its impossible to say no to her...so in a few years when she is old enough to ride it, I'll probably make it a project with ehr to paint it pink (go ahead, flame me away! )

Here is the tractor, the paint job is awful, but i guess it served it's purpose to slow down some rust, you can tell there is a lot under some of the paint especially under the battery box.

Here is the pump! Easily worth over $175 itself, so basically the rest of the tractor was free...or at least that is how I justified it in my head. That black cable that looks like it doesn't belong...it doesn't, that's the battery cable.

Looks like someone did the turning radius mod to it.

And hear is the 3 pt with some fat non-cub wheels and tires on it. They're black rims, not sure what they came off of. It's even got the reflectors on it.
