Jason, it looks like that cylinder that is welded on your bracket would hold a lift bar for a blade or snow blower, so you may want to leave that on for that kind of attachment. Also, there is a 48" CC123 deck on e-bay (search cub cadet 123) for about $100 and I think that it is in your region (California). I know a guy who has stacks of them, but shipping would probably kill you to get it from Indiana. I've retired mine from mowing (I have a commercial cub zero turn for that) and so my 123 is used for moving my 42" blade for moving mulch or snow and for my 36" snow blower. I hope that you locate a deck soon.........my 123 did do an awesome job at mowing and as you already know, gave a smooth ride!!!
Merk.....thanks for the extra photos on cutting that lift arm down....gulp!!! I can't believe that I am going to cut an original part......this one might hurt and even leave nightmares, but it is for the best I keep telling myself!!!haha..... Cub Cadet 123
