Gasket Suggestions/pulley replacement

Hey all,

I'm trying to clean up the Cub and accessories. In a nutshell I have a father-in-law that can't follow directions and decided to go his own way in assisting my project. Anyhow, long story short he decided that he "HAD" to take the drive shaft for the snow blower apart. Thankfully I rescued the cap but don't have a clue what to use for a gasket. I have been everywhere looking for a replacement, the Cub dealer said they couldn't get anything and didn't even offer a suggestion. I went to the power train place in town that builds drive shafts and rack and pinion stuff. They didn't even have anything. Thankfully he had a suggestion although he said it was "OLD SCHOOL"....just find some leather (old shoes or belt) and cut it to the size I need...maybe a couple thick. I think it's my only option unless you have something else.

Also, when I bought the tractor one of the pulleys was broken. Anyone have somewhere they order those heavy cast replacements from. If so, what number? The Originals on Ebay are a bit spendy. I just want to make sure I get the correct replacement for the belt.
