Exactly my point, hence, seeing if my machine number is a fluke or had some significance. The link in your last post mentions the many model numbers in the QL series. If the different model numbers reference a change in production, I'm curious what changed to warrant a separate number. Still looking to find others with a 0066 machine code to see where their serial number/build date lies. I'm thinking the 0065 numbers were first, followed by the 0066 machines and finally the 0660 machines.............or something else? I've started a spreadsheet to log the different machines I come across to see if my presumption holds. That's why I'm asking for info from other 1450 owners.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
