Hds 2145
I got an old HDS 2145 a few months ago. With just a little work I got it running good and it mows great. A couple months ago it wouldn't start, no spark. I put in a new plug and of course still no spark, it rolls over fine. It has the Onan Elite 140 single cylinder engine. A local dealer told me it's probably the coil. Has anyone had any experience replacing the coil in this unit? I've taken 4 bolts holding the shroud to the motor and can move it back maybe a half inch but not enough to get to the coil. Anyone have suggestions? Researching the engine online it seems to be quite common in Onan Generators.
