Got another one!
Picked up a nice 125 the other weekend to keep my 72 company! It came with a 48" mower deck that has a lot less swiss cheese than the deck on my 72. it runs well with no smoke, hydro works smoothly, and the tractor is mostly original! the PTO is in rough shape but is functional, the seat is in terrible shape, and I'll have to deal with the rattle can makeover at some point, but it's very sound for an unrestored cub. I'm excited to get it going!

Yesterday I finally got all the Cubs out to take a family photo. Out of the 28 Cubs, 26 are in the picture. Two were currently in ER getting repaired. I thought I might need a good picture to put up on my wall since I just arrived back at ISU.

Very impressive picture. How long did it take you to get those out for a picture?

It took about 2 hours total to get them all out and lined up. If they all had their own battery it would have taken a lot less time. I dont have a battery in each tractor, but each tractor will start and drive if I put one in it. So most of my time was switching one battery to 14 or so tractors. Only one 7/16" wrench did the trick

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
