Thanks all!

It does run as it sits but it needs a bit of TLC before I want to jump on and drive it around...This tractor sat for 3 years outside and it fired right up first try and doesn't smoke one bit...

One little mistery for me is the metal tag on the loader says RD 1025...any thoughts why it doesn't say RD 1000??

Might not have came on a cub. The wheel horse Danco's were WD-400 but the front mounting was diffrent then the cub mounts. Got any pics of the bucket? That looks diffrent then the way mine looked. I'm glad you got it to fire right up!

Very Nice! I would like a danco some day! I think they are the best looking loaders.

Thanks for all the great comments!

Here is my tag that says RD 1025.

It appears that it does have a Danco bucket that has been modified stightly. It had a semi-squared off top that was bent upwards and a piece added. Also this loader came original with a hydraulic dump bucket.

I haven't found any spec sheets on it but it appears to be a 2nd generation RD1000 or RD1025 as tag says that uncluded a hydraulic dump bucket.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
