Maybe a tachometer after you get is running to check RPM's

3 times...once was when it was really tired cuz it had been run for many many years. Burning oil out the breather like it was nobody's business. It was just old and gave up. I think the piston was busted in half that time. Dad and I rebuilt it and it lasted for about a week- it was hammering baaad. That time it was the oil dipper that broke off and wasn't getting any oil. Rebuilt it that time and it's been going good ever since- that was about 15 years ago. (Ok maybe it's only been twice that I know of but I thought for sure I split a piston laterally, a connecting rod in two and then an oil dipper I broke off.)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
