Hey MikeC, nice originals. Where did you find them? I see your only about 25 miles from me, I'm over near the Stewart DEC check in off Rt207. Small world. I'm looking for a gear drive CC, would have loved to found one of those. Anyway, best of luck with these, and don't worry about the Mrs, she'll have to learn to accept the addiction.

As for the Mrs, remember the Jay Leno line--she'd rather I come home reeking of oil and gas than cheap perfume.

You need to let the Mrs. know who pays the bills and just exactly who is in charge!!!!

Did I mention I'm on my third marriage?

Yeah Tim I was surprised to see this pop up again. I had put the link in a response to Jeff122's post about looking for an "O" so he could see what they look like. I live about 25 miles west of him and this was a post from when I bought these two. I never got around to doing anything with them other than moving them from one shed to another. And as mentioned in my other post, the herd of Cubs now is a mixed herd of 5 or 6 other brands. And at 71 yrs of age who knows how many I'll have time to get to.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
