The guy running his mouth over there is a former member of this site and he's a bit of a trouble marker. I'm not worried about it at all and don't feel I've done anything wrong but much like the great bolt debate there are different opinion's on the subject. That forum is dying over there, it's been bought and sold a few times and the current ownership hasn't been around for months to make any repairs.

Mr Wedding before you leave again I have a question. Why did you leave back in 2016? You haven’t posted since then until now. Was it only because you disagreed with Sam about the thread that went political? I mean you and him disagree politically I guess but why leave our forum completely?

What work? What exactly did you accomplish other than making yourself look like a tool?

When my banning time was up, I did lurk on this site for quite awhile and honestly Alvy, it was brutal. I did not like the 20% on this site that: a) liked to denigrate newbies by making them look stupid, even if they asked a dumb question, this site was not very hospitable. b) the followers of the denigrator (and it was always the same guy, JMech) who would pile on c) the complicity of the rest Now granted, quite a few good members left this site, making the same complaints as I am now. For me, it just wasn't a community, or at least the kind of community I would be proud to be part of. So, I would pop in here every now and then, look around and read some stuff. At times I was still in disbelief at some stuff on here, but hey...I wasn't a member and was in no way complicit. Heck, I even read a few posts a few months ago when they were talking about me, I think I was called a tool back then too...and laughed. Being called a tool by certain kinda of people is awesome. Seemed clear that I rubbed some the wrong way...on the internet of all places, who knew that could happen???? Anyway, having said all that I did miss quite a few people I enjoyed talking with, can't remember which is which anymore as it's been so long. I remember a few really good guys on here, some maybe are still here, some for sure not. Anyway Alvy, that's my story in short form. |

But Tim, when it came down to it, why not let the "community" there decide their own monthly contest with their own members? Why resort to "stacking the deck" as Cooperino stated, (I know, not your post but the intent was clear). It just reeked of underhandedness. If OCC had a similar contest, would a bunch of non-contributing members from another site piling on to influence a vote be tolerated? Would anyone care? And if not, why have a contest anyway? I do believe you are on the wrong side of the argument here, and if you can't see it that way...that's fine too. I am not here to change you, I cared about the contest and process and community at GT Talk, and I won that battle. Surely you must at least understand that with all the love you have for OCC...a "real forum". Community is everything, and your little scheme was Russian meddling. Later |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
