Today is a great day for some restore action. Working on grinding down the welds around the cross brace of my 72 hood. Hand sanding down, but not removing any sealed paint, and will cover bare metal spots with primer later today. The hood was mig welded. I never seen a better brace weld yet, it's that good!

Today was a Cub kind of day in Galax. CAD plans traded his nice 1872 to me and some $$ for my 2284, we pulled the 3 point off the 1872 and installed it on the 2284 along with one of my case braces. Got everything fit as it should. I think you could set off a bomb under this one and not hurt the aluminum case.
CubyFan stopped by to pick up a 60” Haban and drop off the carcass from an 1861 from Leadslingingdaddy so we got the group pic. Overall just a great Cub Day with some of the best people in the world.

Looks like you all had a great cub day
I to had a good one. The 122 I picked up for my buddy and his boy is alive
I needed to make a partial wiring harness and install a set of points. The fuel line leaked so we made one out of gas line, a few sprays of fuel in the carb and it came to life!
The boy road it around my yard, but a little hard for him to reach the clutch, but he'll grow into that. So it was put it in gear and let him go.
His dad tested out the mower and was surprised at how well it cut, sounds like it's going into town and replacing his craftsman. How cool is that, a 46 year old tractor replacing one that's maybe five? SWEET!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
