Default My Cub 108

I got my 108 done today that I've been working on and off for the last 2 months. The engine was in good shape, just a de-glaze, rings and valve job. No ridge on the cylinder. Rebuilt steering box, tightened things up a bit here and there. Had to make a brake rod as it was missing. Some new parts in the PTO clutch. Relined the brake pads and the PTO brake. New field coils in the S/G, and new V/R. Built a front bumper with a tool box and patched a couple bad places in the deck. The deck is a 44A and I fabricated a couple mounts for for front wheels, and made the front roller. Still need to get some deck wheels. I don't want to scratch the paint now but it's gonna be a worker.
Jim

I don't actually live right in Lisbon. About 4 miles south-east. Thanks to everyone for the comments.
This is my first rebuild on a GT. I worked for a Cat dealer and we did rebuilds all the time on dozers. compactors and such.I guess the grease and oil followed me home when I retired.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
