Kohler Command muffler
I have two Command engines that have the baffles and/or tubes loose inside the muffler. Lot's of rattling around. I'd like to cut open the muffler and remove the loose pieces.
I know I need to cut a hole someplace. Just not sure where. Anyone have any useful tips for this? |

Uncrimp the left end on one, if that does not work, uncrimp in the other one on the right end and see what falls out.

Yeah, but I'm afraid if I do that, I can't seal the ends back on to be leak free.
I'm thinking cutting a 1 1/2" 2" hole in the end would be a little cleaner deal if I knew where to cut. |

I gas weld the ends when they break/ rust or blow out on the opposed twins,
-------Works for me. A mig usually is unsuccessful on thin rusted metal. |

I was thinking more along the lines of using a hole saw, in the right spot and cut hole of some pre-determined size and location. Then, cut another patch slightly larger and close the hole up with a Mig. I'm not in a hurry to pay CC's price for a new muffler. |
