Default Electric lift on a 129

Does anyone know if it is possible to put an electric lift on a Cub 129? I have an electric lift that was on a NF and I don't know much about WF's. What mods would I have to make if this is possible? Would I have to cut into the wiring harness or could I just wire it straight from from the batter? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

YES...The Electric Lift Option can be mounted on the 1x8/9 series.

There is a plug (w/blue wire) already attached to the harness in the Ignition Switch area.
See Wiring Diagrams in the Technical Library Section.

Default Electric Lift

Please know that you must have a electric lift for a wide frame! A NF lift will not work, they are two different designs, meaning the mount "eye" is turned for a wide frame to mount between the frame rails under the dash tower.

Thanks guys. That's what I wondered if the WF and NF electric lifts were interchangeable or not. I knew that the rockshafts were different, but I didn't know about the lifts themselves. Looks like my NF lift won't work on the 129 I'm hoping to get. Thanks again for your help!

Since it won't work on your WF, send it to me (lol). I need to do something different on my 100.

I just bought a 129 yesterday. Sorry V@rmint, guess I'll have to buy another cub to put it on. You know its an addiction when you fabricate excuses to buy another one......

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
