108 puller
I am building a 108 puller. i have a rear end out of a 71 and i was thinking bout switching them. Which would be better for just strictly sled pulling?

There shouldnt be much difference. The 71 may have the 17 tooth 2nd gear which can have advantages in the stock classes "at times" but can also hurt sometimes. My tractor is a "stock 12hp" and out of maybe 25 passes i couldve used the 17 2-3 times. I dont know what class your thinking of joining but stock is the only class which any of this will matter, the hotter classes only retain the stock housing and not much else.

I am going to pull stock class. I already have the rearend so I think I'm gonna go ahead and switch it
