Default Are there points on my 12HP Kohler?
I have a 12HP Kohler on a 1204. The plug wire comes out of the flywheel blower shield.

Is the ignition points set hidden somewhere?? No points?

The usual location for points is just an unmachined cast surface.

I could not find this ignition in the tech library.


Can this ignition be converted to an external coil?

The 1204 rolled out of the factory with a Kohler M-12 Engine. That makes it the Magnum Series and thus has no ignition points.
