I think it will. That's a nice vintage tractor you got there. Is that a 100?

Thanks Dave! Yep, that's my 100, I have two of them. Here's a pic of them both.

That blade looks nice and high. Is that original or custom? Can you post a pic of the 100 with the blade on? At this rate, I hope you get some of the snow we are missing here. Very light winter in Western NY. Last year, we got crushed...this year is the exact opposite. All the snow is melted again. Oh well.

Dave, the blade is original, and the cutting edge is custom. Here's a pic of the blade on the 100.

Thanks for posting the picture Al. The cutting edge made it looked like it was fabbed up. If you ever started using it often and the blade started to wear done a lot, consider using a polyurethane cutting edge. I've been snow plowing since 1996 and I went to the poly edge on my Meyer straight blade about 5 years ago or so. I will never again use a steel edge on a plow because it lasts way longer, is dead quiet, doesn't trip half as much as a steel edge and it can be flipped.

But I don't think you could use that blade enough to wear it down that much. But if you do, let me know and I'll you all about polyurethane edges.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
